Lindsay Lohan Parties at Cannes Film Festival – Did She Stay Sober?
Has Lindsay gone back to her old partying ways? The 27-year-old star traveled to the South of France this week to attend the Cannes Film Festival and was spotted partying hard in the VIP room nightclub with her younger brother, Michael. Lohan wore a short, tight, shiny dress with pink leopard shoes and spent most of the night out on the dance floor or behind the DJ booth.
Sources close to Lindsay reported that she remained sober for the night, but being back in the nightlife scene is seriously stressing out Lindsay’s friends, who agree that a nightclub is no place for a recovering alcoholic. “Lindsay is f**ked up and is out of her f**king head. Lindsay is doing the exact opposite of what she should be doing,” a source close to Lindsay says.
It had also been rumored that Lindsay’s old partying pal, Gavin Doyle, was in France with Lindsay, tempting her to drink. Apparently it was Michael Lohan who leaked the story, saying, “Lindsay was with Gavin four years ago, and now he’s with her again. Everyone is worried that she’s back partying in Cannes and seeing the pictures of her in the club makes them think that she’s surrounding herself with her old friends and that her partying is out of control. He is enabling her and making a mess of everything.”
But Gavin denies that he was in France with Lindsay this week, and blames Michael for leaking the story!
Regardless of the rumors and speculation surrounding Lindsay’s sobriety, it’s safe to say Lindsay looked like she was having a blast at the film festival, sharing plenty of photos with her followers on Instagram. (One selfie suggests that Lindsay is topless.)
She even shared a photo of her sitting cross-legged on the floor and reading through a new script, saying, “New script! #werk #ily.” It looks like the in wake of her docu-series on OWN, Lohan’s definitely ready to get back to work. After six trips to rehab, the star says she’s finally found peace and lives a much calmer lifestyle. “I don’t have as much anger anymore,” Lindsay told Ellen DeGeneres in March.
As we previously reported, Lohan is also $150,000 dollars richer now after settling a lawsuit with a clothing brand for whom she’d modeled. It looks as if luck is favoring Lindsay these days, and her calmer attitude reflects her healthier state of mind. We can’t wait to see what her next project will be!
