Phil Robertson: Another ‘Homophobic Rant’ Surfaces Before Season 6 Premiere [Video]

Phil Robertson is making headlines (yet again) for a homophobic rant he went on during an Easter sermon. Video of said rant has just hit the internet, weeks before the Duck Dynasty Season 6 premiere. According to Mail Online, Robertson used a Louisiana church crowd as a sounding board last month when he went off about people who criticized his beliefs.

Robertson said:

“They were mad at me. You say, ‘why’d they get mad at you?’ Cuz instead of acknowledging their sin, like you had better do, they railed against me for giving them the truth about their sins. Don’t deceive yourselves (sic).”

Several people cheered on Phil Robertson as he spoke about the controversy that got him suspended from his family’s A&E reality show for a matter of days. Obviously Phil took a lot of heat for expressing his religious beliefs and he still gets criticized for his views on gay affairs. Even though he speaks of his religion in places where others share the same beliefs, the elder Robertson always gets completely torn apart once these “rants” hit the internet.

Phil ranted:

“Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men… Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers – they won’t inherit the kingdom of God.”

Phil Robertson was recently at the Calvary Church in Hilltown, Pennsylvania where he talked about his life and how he changed himself and became religious. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Robertson made some anti-gay comments in his Q&A session there as well, but the event didn’t get much publicity.

According to TMZ, the patriarch of the Duck Dynasty family isn’t holding back despite the controversy that has been following him. When he is asked to speak at church gatherings or other events, he doesn’t try to hide his beliefs. He speaks openly and honestly about his religion and how he views the world. For this reason, many people respect Phil — and love him. This is also the same reason, however, that people can’t stand him.

Phil Robertson certainly isn’t going to change his ways or adhere to a certain way of speaking. These “homophobic rants” are going to continue to be in the news as long as Phil keeps on talking — and as long as people keep on caring. Are you a Phil fan? Do you think he should continue to discuss his religious beliefs or is it time he put a lid on it?
