Brody Jenner Won’t Attend Kim Kardashian’s Wedding
Brody Jenner is reportedly skipping out on step-sister Kim Kardashian’s wedding.
Although just about everyone associated with the Kardashian clan is heading overseas for this Saturday’s main event, apparently the former Hills star isn’t planning to help celebrate Kim’s most recent foray into the world of wedded bliss.
According to the New York Daily News, Brody Jenner ultimately decided against attending Kim and Kanye’s wedding. Anonymous sources claim Jenner wasn’t at all happy that his invitation didn’t include a plus-one. Instead of leaving his girlfriend behind, the guy decided to skip the ceremony altogether.
Us Weekly spoke to someone who claimed Jenner’s girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter was not officially invited to the event. Since Brody’s relationship with Kris Jenner is already a little strained, the guy opted out of event. It’s currently unclear how Kim feels about her step-brother’s absence.
While some might feel a little irritated that they weren’t invited to Kim and Kanye’s wedding, Brody seemed rather indifferent about the whole thing when he spoke to Us Weekly last year. In fact, Jenner wasn’t sure if he would receive an invitation to attend.
“Well, you never know with the family. I didn’t get invited to the engagement so you never know,” he told the publication last November.
According to E! Online, Kim and Kanye have only invited their closest friends and family to the event. Although West is known for making a spectacle out of everything he says or does, apparently the couple want to keep things to a dull roar this time around.
“There are only 100 guests invited. It is only their closest friends and family. The couple had to be very selective and cut it off at no work friends no matter how close or cherished,” an insider recently told the outlet.
However, the couple certainly made room for a handful of famous faces. Jay Z, Beyoncé, fashion designer Riccardo Tisci, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, John Legend, and Demi Lovato are just a few of the celebrities who are reportedly heading to Italy for the wedding. The Inquisitr previously reported that singer Lana Del Rey will perform during the ceremony.
“Kanye knew how much Kim loved Lana’s music, which is why he tried to get her to perform at the proposal. So he upped the offer to perform at the wedding and told Lana that it’s his and Kim’s special song and it would mean so much to have her perform it. She couldn’t say no,” a source recently told the Mirror.
