Google+ Users Sharing More Than One Billion Pieces Of Content Each Day

Just the other day Google+ ran out of disk space and now we may know why, it turns out the 25+ million users on the new social network have been sharing a whole lot of content, specifically to the tune of more than 1 billion pieces of content per day.

Not only are users sharing a ton of content, they are clicking on that little Google +1 button you find on websites at an average of 2.4 billion shares per day, not a bad sum of button clicks for such a new service.

Sure Facebook is still dominating the social network space with their user base that has surpassed 750 million active users but it’s not a bad start in a web space that so many users just assumed Facebook would always dominate with no chance of competition.

Have you jumped on the Google+ platform yet? So far I’m mostly impressed and if there’s one thing Google dominates at it’s strengthening barebones platforms once they arrive to a mass market, just look at what Google Android has accomplished since the mobile platforms early days.
