Will Smith Investigated: Parents Of Willow Smith Being Investigated By Child Services?

Will Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, are reportedly being investigated by child protective services following their 13-year-old daughter’s “racy” photo in bed with a 20-year-old male. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Willow Smith was featured in a picture with pal Moises Arias. The two were laying together in a bed and Arias wasn’t wearing a shirt. The photo was quite controversial and had people talking about whether or not it was appropriate for a 20-year-old and a 13-year-old to be lounging around in such a manner.

Now, nearly two weeks later, Radar Online reports that the Los Angeles Department of Children & Family Services has opened an investigation.

An insider revealed:

“The investigation was formally opened last week and is being taken very seriously by the department. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials. Of course, they aren’t happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand.”

Although Will Smith is reportedly being investigated, he and Jada believe that the photo was completely innocent. When asked about the pic, Jada said that it wasn’t that big of a deal. But it is a big deal, isn’t it?

The insider continued:

“Social workers will also be talking separately with Willow, and they also want to talk to the young man in the picture with her as well. This won’t just be one or two visits with the family, and it will likely be an open investigation for at least a month, out of an abundance of caution.”

According to Mail Online, Willow Smith hung out with Arias as well as her brother, Jaden Smith, just this past weekend. The threesome grabbed sushi at Sugarfish in Calabasa, Calif. It’s clear that Willow and Moises are friends and that she hangs out with him because he’s good friends with her brother, Jaden… but it’s hard to say whether or not their relationship is a healthy one. Some would argue that a 13-year-old should not be hanging around a 20-year-old… but others feel that Willow and Moises probably have a brother/sister kind of relationship, which would be more acceptable.

With Will Smith being investigated along with Jada Pinkett-Smith, it’s clear that the Willow Smith/Moises Arias photo was taken seriously by people who specialize in this sort of thing on a regular basis. It is better to be safe than sorry no matter how famous a couple is.
