Ray J Swears He’s Not Giving Sex Tape Porn Proifts As Kimye Wedding Gift
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are getting married and rumor has it that Ray J, the minor celebrity that put Kim in the spotlight, is swearing up and down that he’s not offering the proceeds from a sex tape with the most popular Kardashian as a schaden-wedding gift. And the book says, “We may be through with the past, but the past ain’t through with us.”
Whenever the news cycle is empty enough, we’ll probably receive word that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have finally tied the knot. Contrary to what Kanye would have you believe, they didn’t get married in a bathroom. Instead, the nuptials of the pop culture pairing you love to hate are slated to take place in Paris, the City of (All of the) Light(s). Rumor has it, though, that someone is trying to passive-aggressively speak his peace before the Kim and Kanye are joined together.
Ray J – better known as Brandy’s little brother – is said to be giving Kim and Kanye West a $47,000 check as a wedding gift. That stalwart of solid journalism, TMZ, says that the figure breaks down to about four months of the profit Ray J received from the sex tape he filmed with Kim.
(Yes, that’s the sex tape that launched a pre-Kanye Kim to the level of famous-because-famous-so-shut-up-because-famous stardom she currently occupies. Yes, that does require that one believe making the sex tape actually cost Ray J something in order for TMZ‘s figure to constitute “profit.” )
For his part, Ray J denies that he would sully the institution of a Kanye-Kim marriage with a reminder that he… ahem… “hit it first.”
(For the uninitiated, “hit it first” is in reference to the fact that the – wait, is Ray J a rapper or a singer? Let’s just call him a Brandy’s Little Brother – Brandy’s Little Brother infamously released a single last year touting the fact that he “Hit It First,” which many took to be a reference to Kim Kardashian’s career-launching sex tape. To sum up: Ray J released a single bragging-not-bragging about the fact that he had relations with Kanye’s betrothed before Kanye did. )
The Brandy’s Little Brother took to his Twitter page in order to dispel such scurrilous rumors:

To be fair, everyone appears to be just going on TMZ‘s word that Ray J is, in fact, acting so crassly ahead of the Kanye-Kim nuptials. The infamous celebrity news muckraker – which really can never get enough Kanye, or Kim, or Kimye – simply states outright that Ray J is giving Kanye and Kim a four-month money shot as a wedding present, but it doesn’t do much beyond just state the supposed fact.
For a site that got actual audio of Clippers owner Donald Sterling going The Full Bull Connor and caught Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin on tape saying he hasn’t yet started on the last book of his series, one might maybe expect a bit more with regard to journalistic standards. Perhaps, at least, “A source familiar with Ray J’s finances informs us that… ”
That’s neither here nor there, really. What matters is: Kanye + Kim + Sex Tape + Ray J + Promiscuity =… Profit? Or maybe not. We’re inclined to believe Ray J here, though, if only because, if you’ve already released “I Hit It First,” what more is there really to say? Beyond “I’m sorry,” that is.
