Christmas Gift: Speed Cheetah Red Light Camera Detector

speed cheetah

Radar detection units have evolved from their early days as huge car mounted devices to something the size of a mobile phone today, but as they get better, authorities try to find ways to hide revenue safety devices from their range.

Red light cameras have often avoided detection by many traditional radar detectors, although a good GPS will warn you when you’re approaching one.

The Speed Cheetah C100 though offers red light camera protection with some radar like detection using GPS. The Speed Cheetah alerts you with audible and visual alerts to high risk accident areas and photo-enforcement safety cameras. Cheetah users can also add speed-trap locations to the system, prompting a warning when approaching such areas prior to usual detection through GPS built into the device.

They retail for around $250.
