Tetris Alarm Clock Forces You to Prove Wakefulness By Playing Tetris

Although this is undeniably a cool idea, it also seems to be an excellent way to ensure you eventually no longer like Tetris.

Instructables user nolte 919 has devised a novel device to evade the siren call of the snooze button. Alarm avoidance due to hitting snooze can present a problem for some people, as they risk unknowingly snoozing their way past the wake-up deadline in a half-asleep daze. The flipside is that sometimes when you’re fully awake- like if your phone rings or you have to use the bathroom- your brain goes into “wake” mode and there’s no falling asleep again for the foreseeable future.

The Tetris Alarm Clock prevents the former by employing the latter- instead of allowing you to mindlessly avoid waking well past when you should have, hitting the snooze button forces you to complete a user-set number of Tetris lines before it shuts up. You can’t buy a Tetris alarm clock yet, but you can get instructions to build your own.
