Ryan Phillippe’s Ex Alexis Knapp Gives Birth to Baby Girl

Although the pregnancy was discovered after their split, Ryan Phillippe has been spending lots of baby-related time with ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp.

Phillippe has been going with Knapp to her prenatal care visits, and he was present at Cedars Sinai Medical Center when Knapp gave birth to the couple’s first child, a girl named Kai. According to InTouch, Phillippe “has been by his ex-girlfriend’s side every step of the way,” even though he has yet to take a paternity test to ensure he’s little Kai’s father. The magazine spoke to a source, who commented:

“Ryan took Alexis to her last doctor’s appointments and was there in the hospital when she gave birth,” a friend says. “He’s waiting for the DNA test to see of he’s the father, but he’s acting like he is.”

Knapp went a week past her due date, and doctors decided to induce on June 30th. The baby’s arrival went smoothly, according to the source, and the child weighed in at eight pounds.
