Angelina Jolie Dishes About Brad, Babies, And Her New Movie ‘Maleficent’ In Rare Interview

In an exclusive interview with E! Online, Angelina Jolie said that she never expected to find ‘Mr. Right’ and that she never, ever thought that she’d have children, let alone six of them.

The 38-year-old mother and actress sat down to talk shop and discuss her new movie Maleficent which is slated to hit theaters on May 30th. She told E! Online that she envisioned a very different life for herself before she fell for Brad Pitt, her partner and the father with whom she has three biological children and three adopted children.

Comparing her life to that of a fairy tale, she said the following about her life with Brad and the kids:

“I never thought I’d have children, I never thought I’d be in love, I never thought I’d meet the right person. Having come from a broken home – you kind of accept that certain things feel like a fairy tale, and you just don’t look for them.”

After two failed marriages to Johnny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton, Jolie seems to have found the ‘right stuff’ in Brad Pitt, who is 50.

“You get together and you’re two individuals and you feel inspired by each other, you challenge each other, you complement each other, drive each other beautifully crazy. After all these years, we have history, and when you have history with somebody, you’re friends in such a very real, deep way that there’s such a comfort, and an ease, and a deep love that comes from having been through quite a lot together.”

As for her most recent role, that of the Disney villain that everyone loves to hate, and casting her own Vivienne as the young Aurora, Angelina said the following during an interview with Elle magazine interview:

For young Aurora, they needed a child who wouldn’t be fazed by the Mistress of All Evil hissing ‘I don’t like children’ in her face. “And my little Vivienne—we call her my shadow, because there’s nothing I can do to shake her. I can be tired, I can be grumpy, I can be in a terrible mood, and she doesn’t care. We knew that she would still do that thing, she’d still smile at me and insist that I pick her up. So we couldn’t really cast anybody else.

The movie is being deemed a ‘kid-friendly sell‘ by Forbes magazine, despite the fact that it is a movie about (arguably) one of the most terrifying Disney villains of all time.
