‘A Million Ways To Die In The West’ Red Band Trailer: ‘There Ain’t No Tooth Fairy, Idiot!’ [NSFW Video]

Following the success of his first feature film, Ted, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane goes behind the camera again with his new raunchy comedy western, A Million Ways to Die in the West. And the film’s new red band trailer features ice falling on a guy’s head, crude language, and a father lying to his son about the tooth fairy.

Not only does MacFarlane direct A Million Ways to Die in the West, but he also co-wrote the screenplay and stars as Albert, the lead character.

A Million Ways to Die in the West takes place in 1882 Arizona. Albert is a cowardly sheepherder, who just broke up with his girlfriend (Amanda Seyfried). He’s never handled a gun, and he’s never been in the middle of a brawl of any kind. When the beautiful Anna (Charlize Theron) arrives into his town, she trains him how to shoot a gun. And that’s when the villainous Clinch (Liam Neeson), Anna’s husband, arrives into town and tells the residents: “Somebody in this town is going to die.” Now, Albert has to use his newly-learned skills to take down this outlaw.

From the looks of this new trailer, it seems MacFarlane and gang are going to try to show the audience a million different ways how people die. Apart from the big block of ice crushing a man, Albert tells Anna that people die every year at the town’s fair. People are then shown on fire, after a photographic moment goes awry, and some other residents put them out of their misery.

The new A Million Ways to Die in the West red band trailer then shows Albert explaining that people can die from “outlaws, hungry animals, [and] diseases.” One of those diseases mentioned is cholera, or what Giovanni Ribisi’s character, Edward, calls “the black s**t.” The Bible-thumping Edward also gets a peak at his first vagina via the town’s prostitute, Ruth (Sarah Silverman) in the trailer.

This is the second red band trailer for A Million Ways to Die in the West, and it’s about 30 seconds shorter than the first one. It also has most of the same footage from the first one, too. This just seems to be another marketing tactic to get people more hyped for MacFarlane’s second feature film, since it opens on May 30.

In a related report from The Inquisitr, Amanda Seyfried will replace Mila Kunis in the Ted sequel. It’s uncertain what role Seyfried will have, and there is a possibility that Kunis may make a small appearance.
