Casey Anthony

Whether you agree with the Casey Anthony verdict or disagree fully, there’s one thing that’s nearly certain, you probably took to the internet for more information over the last 24 hours and that increase in internet traffic has caused a flood of reactions from users on various news and gossip websites.

Akami’s Net Usage Index for News found that traffic surged from an average of 2 million page views per minute to 3.3 million page views per minute on most news sites after the not guilty verdict was announced.

One of the biggest gains came from CNN who between 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday saw one million users watching their live feed, that number is 30 times higher than last months average for the news sites live feed.

It’s also being reported that CNN witnessed 12 million page views for their video stream over the entire period of the stream, making it the tenth most-popular streaming feed of all time for the organization.

Also witnessing huge traffic spikes was Twitter where MSNBC says there were 325,283 posts on Twitter related to the Casey Anthony trial on Tuesday alone, while the trending topics for the social network included #caseyanthonyverdict and #notguilty among others.

At the same time AllAboutFacebook couldn’t register all Facebook chatter surrounding the case which means more than 10 mentions of the Casey Anthony not guilty verdict were being posted every second.

I wish people can put their bibles down for just 1 minute, come down to earth, pick up a dictionary and look up the difference between the meaning of the words 'judgement' vs. (having an) 'opinion'. Beyond all 'reasonable doubt', the two words have different meanings.

I don't understand why a sweet, innocent, toddler's life meant nothing to 12 jurors who decided grandpa's affair blinded them to the FACTS of overwhelming circumstantial evidence that the prosecution masterfully and eloquently presented to a jury who misunderstood their role as jurors; wanting apparently a videotape of the actual murder, deciding that UNreasonable theories were adequate for them to release an evil, cold-hearted murderer into the general public. Now that Casey has expressed in writing that she is anxious to become pregnant again, I hope these 12 ignorant people sleep well at night and can eventually wash the blood off their hands when baby#2 becomes "a fly in Casey's meal".
The JURY is guilty. Our justice system needs to be revamped. Either put a lawyer in the deliberation room or put jurors through a more lengthy education process-6 months of training etc., to hammer home what "reasonable doubt" means as opposed to plain "doubt".
Within 24 hours of the verdict, the "12 Cowardly Men" who didn't want to show their faces of shame, are already reaping and accepting HUGE financial offers from the media….they are as disgusting as Casey Anthony herself.
My heart goes out to George Anthony, Tim Miller of Texas EquaSearch, Orlando Law Enforcement and all the citizens and volunteers who sought justice for Caylee. May you recoup every $ spent in good faith to find a child that both Cindy and Casey knew was already dead. God Bless you and may Caylee Marie Anthony's memory never be forgotten.

  4. after seeing what these jurors did in the "MURDER TRIAL OF CAYLEE ANTHONY" I am convinced that Casey's atty's if given the opportunity to defend CHARLES MANSON they would jump on it , & the Casey Anthony jury would set him free! BET ON IT!

  5. i agree , i won't put my bible down , it has gotten me thru life , but i will agree w/you that the law holds jurors to a different standard & they can not go on opinion , but by the instructions of the law , i get that , but in the end they still have the power to render a judgement , what would have happened if it came back guilty , would it be questioned to the degree this ruling has & if so , i had rather casey still be in jail trying to get it reversed than the obvious wrong done to her daughter!!!

  6. Natalie says she agrees!

  7. Natalie agrees with you!

  8. me too and I would think they are trying to make millions off her now with her story…sine you have to go through them to speak with her…Hmmmmmmm.
