Drew Barrymore’s Baby Girl Has Arrived – Perfection!

Happy Babymoon to Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman! Their second baby girl was born on Tuesday, and “everyone is healthy and happy,” according to a statement from Barrymore’s representative to People.

Now 19-month-old Olive is a big sister.

“Happy to announce that today we are the proud parents of our second daughter, Frankie Barrymore Kopelman. Olive has a new little sister, and everyone is healthy and happy!”

And that is perfection. “You’re not supposed to look perfect while you’re making babies. Making babies is the perfection,” Drew told People last fall. After learning that she was pregnant for a second time, Barrymore fully embraced the experience, and has encouraged other moms to do the same.

It’s ok to gain a few pounds and enjoy food, and simply enjoy yourself, according to Drew, who says that “there’s just no such thing as perfection. So if you’re trying to get there, you’re just torturing yourself.”

Being a mom is top priority for Drew Barrymore, who grew up as an only child. Having a family has rearranged what is important to Drew and Will. “Everything I’m going to do is going to have a real consciousness toward, ‘Is this a job I can do and still get home in time for dinner and have days where I get to do every diaper change?'”

While she didn’t have “a shred of remorse” about her own upbringing, Barrymore is looking forward to giving her daughters the kind of childhood that she missed out on growing up. “I didn’t grow up around a lot of family. I grew up so fast and exposed to everything, and I think being a kid for as long as possible is just awesome — I would love that for my kid.”

Before this new little girl was even conceived, Drew Barrymore told Jay Leno that she wants to give their children a full, fun family life, complete with vacations to theme parks and lots of play time, “the whole nine.”

Throughout her pregnancy, Drew looked fabulous and maintained a healthy body image. She participated in prenatal yoga classes three times a week, when she could.

After Ellen Degeneres jokingly called her fat, Drew and Ellen laughed about the comment and talked pregnancy weight gain. There was no offense taken, and Drew took her pregnancy weight in stride, and refused to stress over it.

She told viewers not to expect an instantly skinny post-partum Drew Barrymore. “Listen, it takes nine months to make it; it takes nine months to un-make it.” Instead of obsessing over weight loss, the superstar plans to enjoy her time with her babies, which is as it should be. Ellen told her that pregnant moms deserve to eat and be happy. “You are making a human being! That is hard work!”

That hard work has been rewarded, and The Inquisitr wishes Drew Barrymore and family the best of everything!
