Nintendo: “No plans” to publish Xenoblade, Last Story, Pandora’s Tower in U.S.

Earlier this week, loyal Nintendo fans kicked off a campaign, dubbed Operation Rainfall, to convince Nintendo that it’s worth their time and money to port over JRPG titles Xenoblade and Last Story, as well as Ganbarion’s action-RPG Pandora’s Tower. Late last night, Nintendo responded to fans, but not quite in the way they’d want.

“We promised an update, so here it is. We never say ‘never,’ but we can confirm that there are no plans to bring these three games to the Americas at this time. Thanks so much for your passion, and for being such great fans!”

As grim as this news may sound, this shouldn’t completely shatter the hope of Nintendo fans, although the news can’t come as a soft blow. “No plans” essentially amounts to “we have nothing to talk about right now”. Still, it comes off as a cold response after all the positivity shown by all participants of Operation Rainfall.

If you’re interested in joining up with a mass of other fans in the push to bring these titles over to North America, you can get more information here and through their website here.
