Vin Diesel’s Photo With Paul Walker’s Brothers On ‘Fast & Furious 7’ Set Posted On Facebook

Vin Diesel is obviously still very upset about his good friend and co-star, Paul Walker’s death last November in a horrific car accident and as the Fast & Furious 7 production moves to its completion, he is sharing some very touching photos of the late star’s brothers, who will be stepping in to finish his last appearance as Brian O’Conner.

The photos were shared by Diesel on his Facebook page and he took the time to recall what it was like to get the call that his “brother” was gone in a touching statement:

“When I heard the news, I left the production, grabbed a plane and took my family and Michelle back to LA… drove directly to his parent’s house…”

“His Father said, ‘Paul loved you Vin…’ I awkwardly and nervously said, aw come on… then he said…’you don’t have to get along every second to love each other’… so true.”

“P.S. After spending time with his biological brothers, I must say to the parents, you raised some great kids.”

Paul Walker’s tragic loss is very raw for Vin Diesel, who started working with the 40-year-old actor in 2001, when the Fast & Furious franchise was established.

Diesel and Walker had — on more than one occasion — spoken about how filming the car racing movies with the same base of actors felt like a family and it has been none more apparent than in the months following Paul’s death.

On April 15, the Fast & Furious Facebook page, announced that Caleb and Cody Walker, would help Torretto (Vin Diesel) and the rest of the “family” to complete the seventh installment of the franchise:

“Our family experienced an unthinkable shock in November. We had to take time to grieve Paul, the brother we love and lost, and to figure out if we should move on with our film.”

“We came together and all felt the only choice was to continue. We believe our fans want that, and we believe Paul would want that too. Paul had already shot his dramatic scenes and most of his action for FAST & FURIOUS 7, and it’s among the strongest work of his career.”

“We have resumed shooting and now welcome Paul’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, into our FAST family. Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production. Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too.”

This latest installment will clearly be a very emotional experience for Vin Diesel and Paul Walker’s brothers, however, everyone at Universal is focused on paying tribute to Brian O’Conner, one of the original characters of the successful franchise. Fast & Furious 7 opens in theaters on April 10, 2015.
