Selena Gomez ‘Unfollows’ The Jenners On Instagram, ‘You’re Dead To Me?’

Selena Gomez has reportedly ‘unfollowed’ Kylie and Kendall Jenner on Instagram. There is no need to decode. In that place where the world of girls intersects with the world of social media, an ‘unfollow’ means only one thing — “You are dead to me.”

Update: Selena Gomez is now following no-one on Instagram.

Who knew Coachella would be the site of a later virtual Game of Thrones face-off between Selena Gomez and Kylie and Kendall Jenner?

During weekend one of hipster festival Coachella in Indio, California, Selena and the Jenner gals rocked BFF-forever boho ensembles while posing for stylized Instagrams, munching on festival food and generally doing a great impression of being – like – actual friends.

Segue to one week later, Selena has reportedly ‘unfollowed’ Kendall and Kylie on Instagram, although no-one seems to know if Gomez was following them in the first place.

But she is certainly not following the sisters now.

The “Come & Get It” singer is now following 15 people on her Instagram, including Spring Breakers co-stars Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson, Reese Witherspoon, Lily Collins and Zooey Deschanel.

Needless to say, Gomez is not following Taylor Swift and the Red singer also seems to have dropped her “little sister” from her follow feed.

Selena has also deleted all photographic trace of the Jenners from her account, and those were some nice snaps.

Mail Online is reporting a source claims Gomez yanked the Jenners from her social media account after they “spent time” with the Latina’s back-on beau Justin Bieber at Coachella on the first Sunday.

The claim may or may not be true.

The Canadian heartthrob performed as a surprise guest for Chance The Rapper and was also spotted looking very involved with Selena at the festival by numerous eyewitnesses.

So, what could have caused the Gomez-Jenners estrangement and led to the “unfollow”?

MTV News and Huffington Post admit they don’t have a clue why the ladies are no longer social media buddies. And it’s not as if Gomez has only just met the Jenners.

Selena was seen lunching with model Kendall some weeks back, and previously hung out with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians stars at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ son’s — Christian “King ” Combs” — Sweet 16 at 1OAK in West Hollywood on April 4.

Pictures that Selena took of herself and the Jenners from Combs’ birthday bash have been wiped from her account, just like the Coachella photos.

Like we said, it’s the social equivalent of, “You’re dead to me.”

While the Jenners were spotted having fun at the second and final weekend of Coachella, an evidently reflective Selena took herself off to a church service to watch Pastor Judah Smith on Easter Sunday. The preacher is known to both Bieber and Gomez.

Gomez ended her professional relationship with her former manager parents last month, and has signed to new representation — WME and Brillstein.

The 21-year-old’s caption to a photo that appears to have been sent during Pastor’s Judah’s service, read:

“He is risen, @judahsmith just thank you (sic).”

For clarity, Bieber re-followed Gomez on Instagram on April 10, 2014. Selena does not follow Justin on the photo-sharing platform, and it’s unclear whether she ever did.

Not only is Justin still following Selena on Instagram, most of his crew also followed her on Shots of Me and Instagram on April 11.

That’s how important Instagram is. It’s a clear of indicator of alliances — and enmities — between people, and shifts that take place.

Bottom line? Selena Gomez is not following Kylie and Kendall Jenner after big, neon-flashing shows of friendship at public events.

So, something clearly went down. Whether the Gomez-Jenner frost has anything to do with Bieber isn’t known.

But what isn’t known by gossip sites will be shortly be made up and by the time they’re done, the “Baby” singer will have “orchestrated” the showdown from his present location — Tokyo, Japan.

On Monday, Selena posted a selfie with the caption, “I go back to, black,” seemingly a nod to the late Amy Winehouse song refrain and a change of her hair color in the shot.

However, we prefer the picture below. So Raquel Welch.
