Columbus Short Allegedly Held Knife To Wife’s Throat, Threatened Murder-Suicide

Columbus Short has a real scandal of his own brewing after the actor’s wife said he threatened to kill her.

The Scandal star was handed divorce papers from his wife, actress Tuere Tanee McCall, who also filed a restraining order against Short that alleges he brandished a knife and threatened to kill her.

According to TMZ, Columbus Short held the knife against his wife’s throat and threatened a murder-suicide. He then allegedly poured wine on her and questioned her about affairs.

“He placed the knife close to my neck and threatened to kill me and then kill himself,” the filing read, adding that McCall was eventually able to get to her car and escape, though one of her tires was slashed.

Columbus Short will now be forced to move out of the home he shared with his wife in the Chatsworth neighborhood of Los Angeles.

McCall is also seeking sole physical and legal custody of the couple’s 2-year-old daughter, Ayala.

This was not the first incident of trouble for Columbus Short and Tuere Tanee McCall. She had filed for divorce in September, RadarOnline.com reported, but the couple was able to patch up their differences and reconciled.

The couple had another domestic violence incident a few weeks back. Short was arrested after an altercation in front of his son and the couple’s daughter, and ended up being charged with spousal battery.

Columbus Short himself has gotten into trouble with his temper as well. He was arrested last month after a bar fight left one man in the hospital, and in 2010 he was accused of breaking a man’s jaw.
