Christina Aguilera Shows Baby Bump During New York Outing
Since Christina Aguilera announced her engagement and pregnancy, for the most part the “Beautiful” singer has kept mum on her impending new bundle of joy with fiancé Matt Rutler. Now Aguilera has emerged, and the hunt for her baby bump has apparently started.
Aguilera was seen clutching fiancé Matt Rutler’s hand on April 15 in New York City. During their outing, the singer clutched her stomach as she strolled through the streets.
Although New York City has been particularly cold, the change of the weather didn’t seem to bother Christina Aguilera too much. She seemed to embrace it by wearing a peep toe Christian Louboutins with black leggings, a large green army jacket, and a black and white beanie for a very hobo chic look. Her fiancé Matt Rutler kept it simple by wearing a grey sweatshirt and beanie. The two were said to be returning from their outing and to their New York City hotel.
On April 16, Aguilera was photographed solo wearing casual workout clothes as she exited the Greenwich Hotel.
A few weeks ago we reported that Aguilera publicly announced that she was expecting while on stage. Christina had canceled her performances in Malaysia out of respect for the families who lost loved ones on flight Mh370. Instead of not performing at all, Aguilera performed a private show for people that traveled to Malaysia to see her. It was during that performance that she let the news out that she was expecting.
Later on Aguilera took to Twitter to thank all the fans in Malaysia. No doubt that her special performance marked a significant moment for the singer.
“Ain’t no other fans… Thank you Malaysia for all the love & support! XoXtina.”
Earlier in the year, Aguilera revealed that Matt Rutler proposed to her via her Twitter. At the time she shared a personal photo of the two holding hands, with the enormous rock in view.
“He asked and I said……”
Of her engagement, it’s said that the proposal had been planned all along, even if their new bundle of joy was an absolute surprise. According to US Weekly, a source told the publication that he was planning the proposal before they found out Christina was pregnant.
On the ring a pal of Matt’s told the magazine that he took over a year to work on the ring and had planned to propose for several months, which led to him popping the question two days before Valentine’s Day.
“He wanted to do something that had meaning for both of them. It was after sunset when everything is quiet and dark and it’s turning into night. She was completely taken aback. She had no idea that he was going to propose then. It was a great night.”
In addition to her new baby, she also has Max, 6, whom she shares with her ex-husband Jordan Bratman. The two were married in 2005 and later filed for divorce in 2011. In the same year the singer met her fiancé Matt Rutler on the set of her film Burlesque. The pair have been dating since 2011 and seem like a very solid, no frills couple. Aguilera’s baby girl marks the first for Matt Rutler.
