Mimi Faust has released a sex tape that looks to become a major plot point on the upcoming season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.
The racy tape was created by Mimi and her lover Nikko Smith, who viewers know as a producer and romantic rival to Stevie J, Mimi’s former man. Fans of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta have seen Mimi and Stevie J’s rocky relationship, and then saw that during Season 2 Mimi left him for look-alike Nikko.
Somehow, the Mimi Faust sex tape made its way to the hands of Vivid Entertainment, the company that has distributed many a celebrity sex tape in the past. The adult film company plans to release the video as Mimi and Nikko: Scandal in Atlanta, and it now seems Love & Hip Hop Atlanta is looking to cash in as well.
VH1 producers are looking to use the Mimi Faust sex tape as a hook for the show’s third season, which starts in May. In a trailer for the upcoming season, Mimi is seen struggling with the ramifications of making a hardcore porn tape. Viewers also see Stevie J, the father of Mimi’s child, expressing his disappointment.
It seems that VHI producers may have even had a hand in the Mimi sex tape getting out. Vivid co-founder Steve Hirsch said that the network executives actually gave their blessing for the tape to be released, presumably to spice up the upcoming season and build buzz.
It looks the strategy has already worked. The Mimi Faust sex tape has been a hot search on the internet early this week, and Mimi herself became one of the trending searches across social media, especially Twitter.
