April Fool’s Prank On Gullible Teacher Might Be 2014’s Best [Video]

One of the best April fool’s pranks of 2014 has taken almost a full week to spread across the Internet, but it’s worth the wait.

A group of students decided to play the trick on their teacher because he “has a policy that if your phone rings in class, you must answer it on speakerphone.”

As any other teacher can probably attest, this sounds like a pretty reasonable request, but the class decided to use this to their advantage for a rather ingenious April fool’s prank, which saw them arrange to have a friend call a particular student. You can check a video of their fraud above.

As you can see, at first the class appear to revel in Ms Nefcy’s misery as she is forced to answer the call in front of her class mates. Even her teacher can be seen cackling with laughter at her misfortune.

Nefcy then deploys some grade-A acting skills to pretend that she isn’t on the phone to her friend who exclaims, “Hi, this Kevin from the Pregnancy Resource Center, per your request, I am calling to inform you that the test results have come back positive. Congratulations!”

The embarrassed teacher then immediately tries to get Nefcy to hang up the phone, by insisting, “Okay! You might want to… shut that down,” before then placing a piece of paper over his face to hide his shame.

The conversation then continues, “There is no need to worry. I know you told us the father is no longer in the picture, but we will be in contact with you throughout this whole process, so don’t worry about anything. We provide counseling and other maternity services at no charge.”

Nefcy then hangs up the phone, stating that she will call back later. At this point the shocked teacher takes the opportunity to issue a public apology in front of the whole room.

However, this is when the prank kicks into full gear, because Nefcy remarks, “Um, that’s okay, I’ve been expecting this and I already know what I’m going to name the baby. The first name will be ‘April’ and the middle name will be ‘Fools.'”

At this point the entire classroom breaks out into laughter and the professor immediately praises those responsible before admitting he is just relieved that Nefcy isn’t with child. It’s then pointed out to him that the entire incident has been caught on tape for the enjoyment of everyone on the world wide web to fester over.
