Blake Lively Works All Night Filming New Movie, But Finds Time For Ryan Reynolds

Blake Lively is in Vancouver, Canada for the shooting of her new film “The Age of Adaline.”

Her co-stars in the movie are Harrison Ford And Ellen Burstyn, and it seems everyone has to work to a very tough schedule.

E! News quotes a source as saying that Blake even works through the night, starting at 5.00 p.m., and only finishing at 4.00 a.m.

In spite of her punishing schedule, she has still found time to be with husband Ryan Reynolds, even visiting his mother, Tammy, for dinner last Saturday in Vancouver.

The story of Adeline (played by Lively) is about a young woman, born at the turn of 20th century, who is involved in an accident which renders her “ageless.” After years alone she meets a man (Michael Huisman) who might change her ageless state.

The film is now directed by Lee Toland Krieger, although the Spanish director Isbale Coixet was previously supposed to direct the film at one point. Blake Lively was not the first choice for the role, which had previously been offered to Katherine Heigl, and Natalie Portman.

Ellen Burstyn, who plays Blake’s mother recently filmed a lunch scene together. The 26-year-old actress and Ellen – can she really be 81? – ate lunch during the scene, where they appeared to be having a fun time.

Ryan Reynolds went to a movie to keep himself occupied while Lively was busy with with her night shoots. Blake will be on location Friday at Papa’s Fur, the oldest fur retailer in British Columbia.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got married secretly in South Carolina, in September 2012. Lively says in the April issue of Elle magazine:

“Having a personal life has been really nice. I’d been on Gossip Girl 10 months a year for six years, shooting 15-hour days, so I hadn’t had time to just be since I graduated from high school. It’s been nice to kind of settle into my own skin and work on things I really love.”

But now she is back to the old routine. Blake told UK Vogue that she was looking forward to wearing the clothes of the period in which the movie is set. She said:

“…One of the most enticing parts of it is that it spans from the 1900s until now. The fashion is amazing, and my character gets to experience all of the different time periods and tell the story through fashion.”

It’s not a movie about fashion, but it’s an integral part of who she is and the whole story.”

Sounds like Blake Lively is really enjoying the role, despite the working hours. “The Age of Adaline.” is set to be released in 2015.
