Snooki Officially Confirms Pregnancy, Hits Back At Haters

Snooki, also known in certain circles as Nicole Polizzi, has officially confirmed that she’s pregnant with her second child.

The former Jersey Shore cast member was understandably shocked to learn that someone in her inner circle leaked info about the pregnancy before she was ready to share her excitement with the world. Instead of letting the rumors go unchecked, Snooki decided to clear things up with a post on her official blog.

According to Snooki, she only told only a handful of folks that she is pregnant. Unfortunately, someone felt the need to leak that juicy tidbit of info with the world ahead of schedule. Not surprisingly, Snooki isn’t exactly happy that people keep spreading news about her private life before she’s ready to do so herself.

She explained:

“But what sucks is how it’s never our business to tell anymore. It’s always certain media that decide to tell our wonderful news BEFORE we are ready. I get it, we are on a reality show and share 98% of our lives to our fans, but with this particular situation with expecting a child has to be announced from us personally, not by some tabloid headline trying to make a quick buck. It’s not that we want to keep it a secret, but we want to share our business at the right time.”

Snooki also took a moment to address rumors that she’s hiding her pregnancy because she doesn’t want to risk losing any upcoming jobs. Polizzi quickly shot down these rumors by declaring that people are essentially pulling these stories out of thin air. Of course, her language was a bit more colorful than what you just read.

The reality TV vet touched on the hateful headlines her second pregnancy has generated over the past few days. Not only did Snooki take issue with reports that she’s attempting to draw attention away from JWoww’s pregnancy, she also hit back at folks who criticized her for having another child before tying the knot.

Snooki continued:

“We planned to have a second child before our wedding, and will indeed still be getting married in the fall of 2014. We are a committed family that will raise our children to be the best they can be and give them the best life we can give them. So please, enough with the rude marriage comments. We are getting there, just waiting for the right time. He is my best friend and trust me, we will be together until death do us part.”

In short: Snooki is nothing short of ecstatic about her pregnancy. As long as people leave Nicole alone and allow her to enjoy the experience in peace, she won’t have to issue any more stern messages on her official website. Since the world seems to enjoy having a laugh at Snooki’s expense, chances are she’ll have plenty of opportunities to address the situation again down the road.
