Winehouse in Early Stages of Emphysema
We’ve got the “good news” about Amy Winehouse’s recent health troubles, thanks to her dad Mitch’s report that “With smoking the crack cocaine and the cigarettes her lungs are all gunked up.” He continued in The Sunday Mirror:
Several doctors came in and checked to make sure she didn’t need any emergency treatment. They put her on a drip straight away because she was dehydrated. She said, ‘Don’t worry about me, dad. I know I’ve got to stop taking drugs now.
While it’s not tuberculosis, I kind of wish that it had been a false alarm and Amy could just go back to normal. Ummmm, except for the fact that “normal” is pretty far off at this point. Maybe she’ll be moved to stop the shenanigans so that she doesn’t “sitting there like an old person with a mask on her face struggling to breathe.” Um, or dead.
So are the end-of-June concerts on or not?

Hi AnnR
I developed emphysema at age 27 the early stages. I had bronchitis and then the doctor picked it up. I had no symptoms, i guess i can say that thanks to the bronchitis we picked it up early. Of course i don smoke now, but the thing is, i only smoked 5 years. The reason why i got emphysema is because of hereditory intolerance to chemicals my gran had a lung infection and never smoked, my dad had t quit. We have weak lungs. I feel gulty for damaging y lungs i have lungs of an old person now, of course it shortnes my life. I have also developed sleep apnea, that is nasty, i wake up scared sometimes. It is de to the narrowing of the airways. So yes, i also thought that emphysema attacks you after a good 20 years, but everyone is different and im sure there are many more people with the disease that are young.
