Michael Schumacher Showing Signs Of Improvement?

Months after being in a comatose state. F1 champion Michael Schumacher could be making some progress after all. According to a recent BBC report, the ace F1 driver’s agent has confirmed that Michael is showing “moments of consciousness”. Sabine Kehm, Michael Schumacher’s agent was cited making this announcement while talking to media persons. There was a written statement as well which read;

“Michael is making progress on his way. He shows moments of consciousness and awakening.”

Sabine adds, “We are on his side during his long and difficult fight, together with the team of the hospital in Grenoble, and we keep remaining confident.” Sabine refused to divulge any further details citing privacy reasons and to “enable the medical team to work in full calmness.”

Michael Schumacher was admitted to the Grenoble Hospital for emergency surgery after he met with a skiing accident and suffered severe head injuries at the French resort of Meribel on December 29. Schumacher crashed on to a rock with the right side of his head bearing the brunt of the impact, cracking his helmet. He was immediately airlifted to a hospital where a team of doctors operated to remove blood clots from his brain. They were unsuccessful in removing all of the clots because they were embedded deep inside. Following this, Schumacher was placed in an artificial coma and has been lying in that state ever since. Doctors have in the past attempted to bring the seven-time champion out of the coma – unsuccessfully so far. It is at this juncture that such an encouraging piece of news has come about.

The news comes nearly a month after The Inquisitr reported about Michael’s doctors reportedly informing his family that only a miracle could save the champion. Rumors about the possibility of Michael’s condition improving was also fueled by comments made by F1 driver Felippe Massa who was quoted saying to a German tabloid that Schumacher did “respond” to some of his questions. An earlier report had also talked about the possibility of Michael Schumacher making a full recovery “very slim.”

Do you think Michael Schumacher will come out of this coma and make a full recovery?
