In the video, Kristen Bell sings all three parts of Frozen, using all of Anna’s voices from childhood to adulthood. In the movie, three other actresses sing Anna’s younger parts, so hearing Kristen Bell’s rendition is a real treat.
“I wanted to be a Disney Princess since I was five years old,” Kristen Bell told her audience. “I was able to help shape a type of heroine that… I would identify with when I was five to ten years old.”
Frozen is based on Hans Christen Anderson’s TheSnow Queen and has enjoyed widespread critical acclaim for its strong female characters and enjoyable songs.
The highest grossing film of 2013, Frozen is the first Disney animated film to reach $1 billion at the box office, and the highest grossing animated film of all time. Frozen has won many awards, including two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song (“Let It Go”), the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film, the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Film, five Annie Awards(including Best Animated Feature), and two Critics’ Choice Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song (“Let It Go”).
Kristen Bell recently accepted yet another award for Frozen, the “Favorite Animated Movie” award at the 2014 Kids Choice Awards, where it was up against Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, Despicable Me 2, and Monsters University.
The private concert is the first Frozen concert in a long time. Other videos from the private concert have also been released, including Josh Gad singing “In Summer,” Kristen Bell and Santino Fontana harmonizing on “Love is an Open Door,” and Idina Menzel’s amazing “Let It Go.” You can watch clips from the invitation-only Frozen concert at Den of Geeks.
Of Frozen‘s widely acclaimed songs, “Do You Want To Build A Snowman” is a favorite of 21% of the audience, following “Let It Go” at 55%, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Kristen Bell is campaigning to spread the #nokidspolicy through the entertainment industry and social media, asking that outlets help protect kids from intrusive paparazzi. Buzznet is one of the most recent media outlets to adopt the #nokidspolicy by refusing to use non-consensual photos of celebrities’ children. Jenifer Garner and Halle Berry are some of the other celebrities promoting #nokidspolicy.
