Taylor Swift Performs In Front Of Sick Children After Surprise 5-Hour Hospital Visit

Taylor Swift visited a children’s hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, and performed several songs in front of a sick patients for close to five hours.

The incident took place on Monday, and the country superstar wowed those in attendance with a rousing rendition of one of her hit songs. It also came just a week after Swift spent time at New York City’s Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where she did the exact same thing.

WJAR-TV, a local news station in the state, reported that she arrived “without press releases and cameras or an entourage.”

Taylor is believed to made the impromptu trip with her father, the delightfully alliterated, Scott Swift

Swift played her hit song “Mean” in front of patients and their families, before she then posed for photographs with them.

Hospital staff were overwhelmed with the 24-year-old’s arrival and antics. They celebrated by posting a message to Swift on their Facebook page, which read, “A huge THANK YOU to the amazingly sweet and talented Taylor Swift who visited Hasbro Children’s Hospital today!”

It then added, “Taylor spent lots of time visiting with our young inpatients at the hospital today, and even played a song for the kids on our 6th floor med/psych unit. It was such a special day for a lot of our kids, and we are so thankful to Taylor and her dad for choosing to spend their time with us and put smiles on so many faces!”

The hospital is believed to be approximately an hour away from Taylor’s Rhode Island mansion, which is based in Westerly and is on the oceanfront.

Swift recently added to her property portfolio by purchasing a loft in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York for $20million. She bought it from Lord of the Rings director, Peter Jackson, however it was hardly a dent to her because it’s believed that she has a wealth of around $220million.
