‘Teen Wolf’ Executive Producer Promises Plenty Of Romance In Season Four

Teen Wolf fans should anticipate all sorts of romantic subplots when the show returns for its fourth season. A word of warning: There are a few spoilers lurking in these passages. Proceed with caution if you’re not completely caught up with the show.

Although some fans are still reeling from the recent loss of two major characters, executive producer Jeff Davis isn’t spend too much time dwelling on the past. Once MTV gave the greenlight for another batch of episodes, he and the Teen Wolf team began preparing storylines for season four.

Since series star Crystal Reed’s character bit the proverbial dust during the season three finale, fans should expect to see more of Arden Cho and Shelley Hennig in the new episodes. Of course, Reed’s departure from the series means Teen Wolf writers will need to cook up some new romantic situations for fans.

“One of the things we’re really excited about is the writer’s room is in love with Scott and Kira. We really like that romance, so at the beginning of it, it’s going to be a little bit of a ‘are they together, are they not together?’ Kira doesn’t know what to do, she doesn’t know how much space to give him,” David explained to Entertainment Weekly.

The Teen Wolf executive producer added:

“Scott doesn’t know what to do either, because he wants to be a gentleman, and respect the girl he loved who is now dead, but he’s also a teenager and he’s falling in love. Those are going to be struggles and they are going to have slowly find their way to romance again. We like the idea of a slow burn for them, where as for other romances on the show may be all physical at first, but the difficult thing for them is actually being with each other and not being physical. Those are interesting relationships.”

Unfortunately for fans, Crystal Reed isn’t the only Teen Wolf cast member to recently bid farewell to the show. The Inquisitr previously reported that Daniel Sharman, who played Isaac on the show, won’t appear in season four.

“Daniel Sharman came to us, much like Crystal did, and said that he wanted to go out for pilot season and for movies and try something new,” Davis told E! Online.
