Cara Delevingne Gets An Odd Compliment From Designer Karl Lagerfeld

If Cara Delevingne wasn’t already employed by German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, then she’d might take his recent comment the wrong way.

Michelle Rodriguez’s main squeeze is reportedly one of Lagerfeld’s favorite models, which means his recent remark wasn’t nearly as bad as it sounds. However, chances are most people wouldn’t know how to respond to his very peculiar compliment.

During Karl’s recent interview with The Guardian, the designer took a moment to discuss Cara Delevingne. Not only did he comment on the model’s unusual beauty, he also weighed in on girls who spend too much time and energy on selfies and tattoos.

“She is not a standout beauty. Was it Bacon who said, ‘There is not beauty without some strangeness in the proportions’?” Lagerfeld said of Cara Delevingne and her unique look.

As for those selfies: “They are this horrible thing where you are distorted. The chin is too big, the head is too small. No, this is electronic masturbation.”

Lagerfeld also has a serious problem with models who spend a lot of cash on tattoos. In his opinion, it’s one of the worst things someone can do to their bodies. This probably isn’t the sort of thing Delevingne wants to hear.

“Tattoos are like sleeping in a printed T-shirt, you will never get clean again,” he said.

Although Karl might think that Cara isn’t a standout beauty, one person who would seriously beg to differ is Michelle Rodriguez. The pair are apparently deeply in love these days, as evidenced by the recent smooch they shared in Mexico.

The Inquisitr previously reported that the pair want to have a child together. Of course, this info comes from an anonymous source so it’s best to approach the rumor cautiously.

“Cara might be younger than her, but she honestly thinks this is ‘The One.’ Just before she met Cara she was talking about wanting a family within the next couple of years. She really wants a baby and wants one soon and now she has found Cara she thinks this could finally be the time to chase that dream,” an insider recently told the Daily Mail.

The insider continued, “Michelle comes from a broken home and it has a lot to do with why she has found herself in trouble again and again throughout her life. Constantly, she pushes boundaries and has been in trouble with the law, but really all of it is because she is desperate to be loved.”
