Dairy Queen Bringing Another Blizzard To Manhattan

A Diary Queen blizzard will be a welcomed change for the Manhattan area after being slammed with feet of snow from blizzards throughout this winter.

According to the Huffington Post, Dairy Queen will be making it’s debut appearance in Manhattan, New York this spring and in an effort to spice things up, they will be opening its doors on the first two-story restaurant sometime in late May.

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Diary Queen announced Tuesday that their two-story restaurant would be around 2,500 square-feet and will seat more than 100 people. The report continued on to state that American Dairy Queen Corp. has taken over space “in midblock where a Fabo Shoes store once stood.”

Original reports stated that this two-story Dairy Queen would be the first restaurant in the New York area. Updated reports are now stating that this is not the first Dairy Queen in New York because there is a restaurant located in Staten Island.

The new Dairy Queen in Manhattan will be located at 54 West 14th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues. Many local DQ fans are already taking to social media to express just how excited they are about the new Manhattan restaurant:

Those seem like some pretty excited fans if I do say so myself. In fact, they seem almost as excited as those who recently got word that 46 new Dunkin’ Donuts were scheduled to be opened in the Sacramento Area.
