Heidi Klum Does a Daring Thing In a Bikini

Heidi Klum seems to be having the time of her life. The 40 year old former supermodel turned TV host has been jetting around the world, first on a romantic getaway with new boyfriend Vito Schnabel and this past weekend, in the Bahamas with her family.

Heidi was strutting her fit body around the beach, donned in a tiny black bikini and doing something that goes against all the logic behind her fabulous abs – eating fast food. Heidi was photographed chowing down on french fries while skimping around the beach, looking glamorous as ever and loving every second of her indulgence.

Klum says that she’s always felt great about her body, but added that she likes to “pretend it’s bikini season all year” and make good decisions. “I like to stick to fresh fruits and vegetables and lean proteins, but I’m not a fan of deprivation,” Heidi says. “If I want a cheeseburger, I am not only going to eat that cheeseburger, but I’m going to enjoy that cheeseburger.” Way to go, Heidi! She proves that you can rock and bikini on the beach and have the fries, too!

“The metabolism definitely changes when you turn 40,” Heidi says in the most recent issue of Women’s Health.”I always thought, That’s not going to happen to me, but it is happening to me…If I indulge more, I have to exercise more. I figured out what works for me.”

Klum also claims that it’s her four kids, ages ranging from 4 to 9, helping her keep in shape. “Having kids, I am trying to integrate their activity into my life,” Heidi tells US magazine. Perhaps a swim with the kids will be Heidi’s way of burning off those fries?

One thing’s for sure – Heidi seems happy with life as of late. It seems new beau Vito is keeping things exciting with their weekend rendezvous in Paris, or their PDA on the Oscars red carpet. At 27, the New York art dealer is 13 years younger than Heidi, and has been linked with other celebrities in the past (Demi Moore and Liv Tyler, to name a few). Perhaps his youthful energy is rubbing off on Heidi, giving her the courage to eat french fries on the beach in a bikini, even at 40 years old.
