Spice Girls & Backstreet Boys Contemplate Reunion Tour Together

The Spice Girls and the Backstreet Boys are reportedly in talks to do a joint world tour together.

According to The Sun, the US boy-band have now entered discussions to play dozens of concert with the girl group. Brian Littrell, a member of the Backstreet Boys, told the newspaper, “We are actually in early talks about maybe doing a world tour together with the Spice Girls.”

Early speculation suggests that the Spice Girls will be performing as a four piece, because Victoria Beckham has already confirmed that she doesn’t want to reform the group.

Last month, Mel C teased that she would consider a Spice Girl reunion in 2016, which would be orchestrated to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their debut single, “Wannabe.”

During an interview with the Press Association, Sporty Spice explained, “It’s funny isn’t it because people are saying it’s the 20 year anniversary of the Spice Girls, and we did it together in ’94, but “Wannabe” wasn’t released until ’96 so we don’t really see it until ’96.”

She continued, “And you might see a few of us having a little dance about on stage, no plans, but we’ll see what we can do for you.”

However, Victoria Beckham won’t be there after she revealed last December that she’d fallen out of love with the band.

“I realized it was finished for good in 2008, when we reformed for our reunion tour,” she noted. “The day of the concert at Madison Square Gardens in New York, the other girls spent time relaxing in bed, shopping and in the gym before heading off to the sound check. I arrived with three kids in tow in a really tight dress because I’d been in meetings all day.”

Beckham continued, “I put my bags and the children down, I picked up the mic and I sung. It should have been the best moment of my life, but I just wanted to be elsewhere. It wasn’t a lack of respect for the girls or the audience, but the passion just wasn’t there. By contrast, in my new career, the passion grows every year. I still want more.”
