Wealthy Grandmother Caught Trading Child Pornography: Sentenced to 14 Years in Prison

Wealthy Dallas socialite Erika Susan Perdue will be going away for quite some time – 14 years to be exact. According to Dallas News, the 43-year-old grandmother plead guilty to transporting and shipping child pornography.

The publication reports that she initially faced a maximum of 20 years, but the sentence was reduced due to her cooperation with federal agents. Assistant U.S. Attorney Camille E. Sparks also stated that the lesser sentence was agreed upon in light of Perdue’s severe mental health problems.

Perdue, the housewife to a distinguished intellectual property attorney in North Texas, resided in an $1.4 million, 4,000 square foot palatial home in the affluent suburb of University Park, Texas. Ironically, the home was across the street from a neighborhood park with a small playground. However, she reportedly did more than just household chores throughout the day.

According to BreitBart Texas, Perdue spent most of her days trading porn and taking drugs. More specifically, methamphetamine was reportedly her daily drug of choice. The sworn complaint revealed Perdue used the online name “Classyb***h” for porn trading in person-to-person networks.

According to court documents, Perdue traded a total of seven pornographic videos back in 2012. However, she was unaware that the recipient of the trade was an undercover officer. The documents also reveal the officer discovered 287 files in her “Classyb***h” shared folder. Police were able to trace the files back to Perdue’s IP address. Shortly after, they obtained a warrant to raid her home. In 2012, federal agents reportedly found more than 4,000 files consisting of graphic images and videos on her computer.

Investigators stated that some of the photos Perdue traded were so graphic they were absolutely disgusted. The images included children, even toddlers, engaging in various sexual intercourse with adults. The federal court documents also detailed that her pornography collection also included images and videos of adult men and women raping young girls.

The publication also shared Perdue’s federal court documents. The nine-page complaint provides all of the details of the case.

Perdue Complaint

Perdue admitted to police that she’d traded child pornography almost everyday since 1999. The publication reports that appeared remorseful at the time of her sentencing. “I lost two granddaughters to this,” she said through tears. When Perdue is released from prison, she will be on probation for eight years and will be required to register as a sex offender.
