Watch North Carolina Vs. Providence Live Online, 2014 NCAA Tournament

Fans can watch the North Carolina vs. Providence basketball game live online and see which of the two storied franchises advances to the round of 32 in the 2014 NCAA tournament.

The game features the No. 6 Tar Heels taking on the No. 11 Friars, who come into the tournament with the momentum of a Big East tournament victory. They play a UNC squad that has played to both extremes, sometimes looking invincible and other times dropping games against inferior opponents.

The game takes place Friday at 7:20 pm from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Fans who watch the North Carolina vs. Providence basketball game live online will see a Tar Heels team that made history this year as the first team ever to beat the No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 ranked teams in the Associated Press Top 25 poll. But at the same time UNC has lost to Belmont, UAB, and Miami, so fans will never be quite sure what to expect.

They will be facing off against a Providence team that was stingy on defense during the season, and especially during the Big East tournament. They have two players averaging more than seven rebounds a game — LaDontae Henton and Kadeem Batts — so they have the chance to own the boards and keep the ball out of UNC’s hands.

UNC coach Roy Williams said he knows the team will have to do better rebounding to avoid the upset.

:Without even knowing who we played, after (the Pittsburgh loss) I told our guys that we had not done a very good job of rebounding down the stretch,” Williams said at a Tuesday press conference. “Forty-one points off of offensive rebounds against us the last two games, you can’t do that and win. Even if we were playing Providence or anybody else.”
