Lebron James: The Sprite 6 Mix

Lebron James makes headlines today because he’s accomplished something new. Today Sprite has announced a new drink called Sprite 6 Mix by Lebron James. This is the third limited edition product with Lebron James name on it, he already has his own shoe line, and even his own brand of gum, but now its a new flavored soda. The Sprite 6 Mix contains its original lemon-lime flavor, but also adds a cherry and orange flavor. The Sprite 6 Mix will be available nationwide, and in 19.2 ounce cans and 20-ounce bottles.

James released a statement about his new product,

“I’ve never imagined I would have my own flavor someday, I had a great time working with the Sprite team to turn my favorite flavors into a pretty cool variation of one of my favorite brands. I’m proud of what we created and I’m excited for my fans to try it.”

Lebron has had a deal with Sprite ever since his rookie season, which turned out to be a really good investment on both sides. Sprite is the 6th largest soft drink in the U.S. Sprite also had the biggest volume growth, a 0.6 percent rise, in 2013.

Co-creating a new flavored soda isn’t the only success Lebron has had lately. Tuesday night the Miami Heat played against Lebron’s previous team, the Cleveland Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena. For this game James put up a total of 43 points, which is his second best game since his 61 point game against the Charlotte Bobcats.

Lebron scored 25 points during the first quarter of the game, and another 18 points during the second game. The Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said,”His energy was outstanding, to set the tone for the game, and I really liked his poise in the fourth quarter.”

Of course Lebron didn’t do all the work himself, he was supported by Chris Bosh who scored 21 points, and 14 points from resurgent reserve guard Ray Allen, and they were the only other players to score double digits. Bosh actually twisted his right knee, in the fourth quarter, but that still didn’t stop him from scoring 12 points in the fourth quarter. In the end the Heat beat the Cavaliers 100-96. Unfortunately Dwyane Wade did sit out this game.

Lebron is really working hard to prove that he is the best NBA player alive, and he certainly has the evidence to prove it. I bet all his fans can’t wait to see what Lebron James does next.
