Justin Timberlake Announces New Concert Date For The JT World Tour


Former Disney kid and pop superstar Justin Timberlake announced his JT World Tour will be performing in Auckland, New Zealand at Vector Arena this coming October. It’s the grammy-winning artist’s first headlining tour in six years and it will be Timberlake’s first in New Zealand since 2007.

Fans of Justin Timberlake will have to get their tickets quick because he has only announced a single show at Vector Arena on October 12. Tickets to his last two shows in Auckland in 2007 sold out within minutes.

The tour comes after the release of Timberlake’s latest album, The 20/20 Experience, which was the best-selling pop record of 2013. Timberlake is promoting his latest album, which contains hits including ‘Suit & Tie’, ‘TKO’ and ‘Not a Bad Thing’.

Tickets to Justin’s October show will go on sale Friday, March 21st. Justin Timberlake’s new fan club, The Tennessee Kids, and MasterCard holders will have access to a pre-sale tickets starting on March 18th. The Australian leg of Justin’s world tour starts its run of two night stands in Melbourne on September 18 followed by Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth.

Justin is the first of several big name pop acts expected in New Zealand towards the end of this year, with Katy Perry announcing on Twitter that she would announce dates in the coming weeks. Other possible future performance announcements include Drake, Kanye West, and Lady Gaga.

The former N’Sync star took home three Grammy Awards this year including best R&B song for ‘Pusher Love Girl’, best pop solo performance for ‘Mirrors’, and best pop vocal album. In addition to gracing the cover of GQ‘s 2013 Man of The Year, Timberlake recently took home three American Music Awards including Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist. The 20/20 Experience, has been critically well received and is the year’s best selling album with over 4 million sold to date worldwide. The album gives Justin Timberlake the esteem of producing the biggest male debut in five years as well as the biggest digital debut in U.S. history by a male artist. The 20/20 Experience held the #1 spot in both the Top 200 (3 weeks) and R&B album chart (10 weeks). In just its first week of release all 10 tracks charted on the digital songs chart and have sold over 7 million tracks in the US. The album has reached platinum status in three other countries as well as gold status in nine other countries.
