Why Is Emma Watson Jealous Of Other Hollywood Actresses?
Emma Watson grew up in front of a camera. As did her fellow Harry Potter co-stars, who are now all grown up and pursuing their different paths in life and movies.
They continue to be very identifiable, but in the diverse roles each seems to be undertaking and farther away from the genre that made them all household names for many years.
We first met Emma Watson and Co. in 2001 as adorable Hermione Granger on Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone alongside Daniel Radcliffe (Harry) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley). And the rest is history, as they say.
The trio became overnight sensations and lived up to all the expectations throughout the eight-movie series based on the novels by J.K. Rowling.
Nobody can label Emma Watson vain or the typical Hollywood type, even though she has been working in the industry on one of the biggest movie blockbusters in history since she was 11 years old.
To many, the British actress is one of the most down-to-earth, “normal” celebrities there is and a good role model for young girls. So why is she jealous of other actresses of her generation?
In the latest Elle magazine spread, Emma Watson confesses that she is indeed envious of some of her well-known colleagues:
“There are all these actresses who have emerged in the last year or two, and they get to emerge as this complete human being. And I’m so jealous!”
Watson — who appears as the cover girl for the Elle April issue — is referring to her growing up in front of the world in her Harry Potter role.

The 23-year-old actress and model talked a little about what is was like to be in the popular franchise as a young girl:
“I remember reading this thing that Elizabeth Taylor wrote. She had her first kiss in character. On a movie set. It really struck me. I don’t know how or why, but I had this sense that if I wasn’t really careful, that could be me. That my first kiss could be in somebody else’s clothes. And my experiences could all belong to someone else.”
Emma Watson and Rupert Grint famously shared a very talked about kiss on Harry Potter And The Deathly Hollows, Part 2, when she was 19. Hopefully some lucky guy had been brave enough to pucker up to the very famous young lady before then.
