Floyd Mayweather Orders Brutal Beating Of Employees Over Stolen Jewels, Report Claims

Floyd Mayweather, in the ring, is one of the great defensive masters of all time. If the essence of boxing is “hit and don’t get hit,” as the saying goes, then the self-nicknamed “Money” Mayweather has definitely perfected the second half of that requirement, but he throws punches only when he needs to and never more than that.

Out of the ring, however, it appears he is very capable of dishing out a savage beating — as long as someone else is doing the hitting.

That allegation comes from a recent news report charging that Floyd Mayweather, suspecting that two men he hired to do some work on his Las Vegas home had swiped some jewelry out of his massive collection, arranged a Mafia-like beating of the pair.

The account comes from the celebrity-stalking site TMZ, which says that the pound-for-pound world champ asked the two men to meet him at a location outside of his property. When they arrived, Mayweather was waiting — along with a crew of his “bodyguards.”

The Mayweather crew then administered a savage beating using clubs and other weapons, as well as their fists and feet.

Why Floyd Mayweather wouldn’t simply call the police on the two is unclear. In fact, according to one local TV station in Las Vegas that looked into the story, there has been no police report filed.

But the two victims reportedly suffered broken arms and legs, were hospitalized for days, and are now planning to sue Mayweather. So “Money” could end up losing a lot more than whatever the jewels were worth if the two victims can back up their story.

According to the source who leaked the story to TMZ, if the victims elected to bring a criminal complaint against Floyd Mayweather, the charges could be as severe as attempted murder, because the two men — who deny pilfering any jewelry from Mayweather’s house — were lucky to come out of the attack alive.

Floyd Mayweather is scheduled to fight Argentinian slugger Marcos Maidana on May 3 in Las Vegas. That fight happens soon enough that it would be unlikely to be affected by any legal fallout from the alleged beating incident.

Future Floyd Mayweather fights could be in question, however. The 37-year-old undefeated champ has said he plans to fight at least three more times in his career.
