Apple iOS Powered TV On The Way [Rumor We Hope Is True]
Could an iOS-powered TV be on the way? If today’s newest Apple rumor is correct it could be. According to the rumor Apple will announce a new iOS powered TV set when they take to the stage to unveil the iPhone 5.
The rumor was broke by DailyTech who heard from a ‘former Apple executive’ that the company will partner with a major OEM to sell the branded TV sets and that the TVs will arrive “next fall.”
According to that same executive Apple wants to beat Netflix at their own game by “bundling Apple TV and iTunes” into one easy to use package.
According to some analysts the most likely partner is Samsung, although it will be strange for Apple to partner with an outside company as they tend to hold tight control over their entire supply chain, also Apple and Samsung are currently engaged in a heated copyright battle.
