Kanye West And Kim Kardashian To Wed May 24 In Paris
Kanye and Kim will throw a Spring wedding in the “City of Lights”, as the power couple are set to be married on May 24, in Paris. The couple has spoken to Us Weekly regarding the details of their upcoming nuptials. The date is seven months after Kanye proposed to Kim K in San Francisco with a 15 karat engagement ring.
West, 36, and Kardashian, 33, will be married on a Saturday, but guests will be flown in several days before that, according to the magazine. It may be just a coincidence, but the date has some significance, as astronomers are predicting that a comet will burst through Earth’s atmosphere and create a brilliant meteor shower that night, lighting up the sky.
Kim spoke to Ryan Seacrest about what her ideal wedding to Kanye would be like:
“We’re having a super, super small, intimate wedding. As we go along, we’re realizing we want it to be smaller and more intimate than people are imagining and thinking.”
It won’t be difficult for the couple to keep their wedding smaller than Kim’s previous wedding to NBA player, Kris Humphries, in 2011. That wedding was an all out extravaganza, and was filmed for Kardashian’s reality show. It appears that Kanye will be handling all of the details of this wedding, all the way down to what Kim will wear. A source told Life & Style:
“Kanye is obsessed with creating moments, like he did with the baseball-stadium engagement. Now he’s working on all these huge surprises for the wedding, but as a result she has virtually no idea what is going to happen at her own wedding. She’s been kept in the dark about a lot of the details, and that doesn’t make her happy.”
Us reports that Kim will have one dress change, and the gown will reportedly hug her famous curves. Kardashian has reportedly dropped approximately 50 pounds after delivering daughter North in June of the past year. As for North, a source revealed that she will play a “larger role in the wedding.”
Kanye apparently had better keep pumping out the hits, as Life & Style has reported that Kim will ask that Kanye sign the same stringent pre-nuptial agreement that she had Kris Humphries sign, keeping all of her “Dash” profits safe and sound. One final hurdle for the celeb powerhouses to clear is who will take custody of North if the marriage doesn’t work out. It’s refreshing to see that West and Kardashian are ironing out all the details prior to rushing headlong into their marriage.
