Zayn Malik Creates His Own ‘Wrecking Ball’ Moment

Zayn Malik is hopping on the “Wrecking Ball” bandwagon and has posted a photo of himself swinging on his own version of a wrecking ball, or in this case a plastic chair. The One Direction singer’s interpretation of the Miley Cyrus video shot seems to be a much more fun one, as the sing can be seen with a wide smile on his face instead of a sober face like Miley wore throughout the video.

In Miley’s video, she can be seen swinging about on a wrecking ball, naked might I add, while singing about her heartbreak, that is when she isn’t getting intimate with a sledgehammer or causing overall destruction. The video portrays a sad Miley, which can be seen in many of the close ups of the singer.

Well, Zayn Malik’s take on the wrecking ball moment seems to be a lot more fun, the singer’s smile tells us that much. The “Midnight Memories” singer posted the photo of himself swinging on the chair to his Instagram profile with the caption that reads “I came in like a wrecking ball! Such a dork!”

Malik’s “Wrecking Ball” remake isn’t the first of its kind to surface. There have been hundreds of photo and video parody’s of the Miley Cyrus song. In fact, the song has even been the inspiration behind the creation of several smartphone games.

In an earlier report by The Inquisitr, the game developers at Tal Dahabani combined the popular game “Flappy Bird” and Miley’s “Wrecking Ball” to create the “Flappy Bird” knock-off, Flying Cyrus – Wrecking Ball. The game works just like the original “Flappy Bird” only this time you control a flying Miley Cyrus head and instead of dodging green pipes, you dodge wrecking balls and sledge hammers.

While Flying Cyrus became popular rather quickly in the gaming department, one “Wrecking Ball” parody video that is still being talked about is porn star, Ron Jeremy‘s version of the song. Now, before your minds all go to the gutter… no, Jeremy doesn’t bare all in his video parody, though the video still has a very… disturbing feel to it. The video, while a bit creepy, is actually pretty funny.
