Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez best friends again? Or maybe its Demi and former President Bill Clinton? It would seem like Thursday’s unite4:Humanity gala event in LA was a bonding experience for the “Neon Lights” singer as she not only had a bonding moment with Selena but also got the chance to take a selfie with the former President.
Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and yes, Bill Clinton were all at the unite4:Humanity gala event this past Thursday, February 27. According to the unite4:good website, the gala event helped further serve the unite4:good mission of promoting positivity, inspiring charitable engagement and empowering acts of kindness and service.
“Unite4:good is a revolutionary global movement that will establish a new standard whereby acts of kindness and service become so valued and celebrated that people make them a part of their daily life. Through empowering action, creating new programs and uniting individuals and organizations in innovative ways, we will ignite positive and lasting change on a global scale. Unite4:good will encourage everyone to inspire, empower, share and love.”
Both Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez were honored during the special unite4:Humanity gala. According to MTV, Selena was given the Young Visionary Award. The report continued on to say that Demi was presented with the Young Luminary Award. Both young singers gave heartfelt speeches as they accepted their awards. According to E! News, Selena gave a shout out to Demi as a source of her inspiration.
“I’m thankful for you. You inspire me every day,” the “Come and Get It” singer said of her longtime friend, Demi. “I hope together we can inspire people to focus on what’s really important.” Selena later posted a photo to her Twitter and Instagram accounts of herself holding her award. Later the two girls posed for a photo together showing that the two do seem friendly.

Demi later told the crowd of 600 about celebrating her 21st birthday while on a humanitarian trip to Africa. “I was struggling a lot with personal issues,” she said. “I had to celebrate differently than a lot of other people. It was better than poisoning myself for a good night out.”
Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez weren’t the only big celebrities being honored at the unite4: Humanity gala. According to E! News, former President Bill Clinton was also honored as was Alicia Keys, Robert De Niro, Martin Scorsese, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss and Philomena Lee.
It would seem like Demi wasn’t only excited about her bonding moment with gal-pal Selena. Oh no, she was also very excited to get to not only meet, but take a selfie with former President Bill Clinton. The excited singer posted the photo to her Instagram profile writing: “Too excited to filter this… NO BIG DEAL – #Selfieswiththeprez…. Bill Clinton – so nice to meet you!!!!”
According to E! News, Demi Lovato even got to perform her hits “Skyscraper” and “Warrior” during the event. It would seem like the “Neon Lights” singer has one heck of an exciting evening.
