Justin Bieber’s 20th Birthday Continues In Bahamas Amid #50 Million Twitter Reach

Justin Bieber stepped out of teenhood into the big 2-0 on Saturday, March 1.

The singer and a group of family and friends flew out of Atlanta, Georgia the day before his birthday, arriving in the Bahamas on his B-Day. The festivities appeared to be a low-key but happy affair for a young superstar who spent most of 2013-14 on a tear.

Taking to Twitter late Sunday to send thanks you to well-wishers, Justin added, “Keep the party going” before going on to acknowledge his new 50 million Twitter followers milestone.

Bieber is the only the second Twitter user after Katy Perry to reach that figure. The “Dark Horse” songstress did so in February.

The singer has been joined in the Bahamas by his father Jeremy, who tweeted that he was heading to Atlanta with his other children Jaxon, 4, and Jazmyn 5, on the eve of his eldest’s birthday.

Over the past 48 hours, a ton of social media messages and photos surfaced, revealing other birthday revellers who decamped to the The Cove — a 5-star all-inclusive Caribbean resort on the island of Eleuthera — with the 20th birthday boy.

Bieber reportedly rented several villas at $4,275 a night, complete with private butlers, pools, and kitchens.

After flying to the Bahamas Friday, it’s reported the party sailed to The Cove on a private yacht.

Guests include: Justin’s mother Pattie Mallette, his childhood pal Ryan Butler, videographer and friend Alfredo Flores, Swedish fitness trainer Patrick Nilsson, R&B singer Khalil Amir Sharieff, producer Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd, Lil Za, longtime choreographer Nick Demoura and Justin’s business partner, Johnny Shahidi — who co-owns the photo app Shots Of Me — and others.

Rounding up some of the photos posted by Bieber’s Bahamas group, the first comes via a Twitter user using the handle @PilotCR.

After sending birthday greetings to Justin on March 1, Pilot Jones tweeted,

Over on his Shots account, a presumably landed Jones later sent a cheery command to Shahidi and Justin while surrounded by a bevy of beauties.

The inviting tableau was captioned: “Another tough day in the Bahamas with @jetsiah… Wake up @johnny and @bizzle get out here!”

Shahidi also got in in the social media action, uploadlng a montage-worth of photos from the Bahamas after tweeting a picture of Justin blowing out candles on a tasty-looking strawberry, chocolate and cream cake.

The Shots of Me CEO and co-founder went to town uploading scenes from Bieber’s bash.

Meanwhile, away from the birthday celebrations and welcome distraction of the Bahamas, Bieber’s legal cases roll on.

The young singer has pleaded not guilty to DUI, resisting arrest without violence, and driving with an expired license in Miami Beach on January 23. At a March 4 hearing, Judge William Altfield will announce whether withheld jailhouse footage of Bieber urinating into a cup for a drug test and other possibly semi-clad clips will be released in redacted form to the media.

Bieber is not required to be at the hearing.

The first court appearance the Canadian will appear at is on March 10 in Toronto to answer an assault charge. He is expected to plead not guilty. Justin is also awaiting a decision from the Los Angeles District Attorney on whether he will be charged for allegedly throwing eggs at his estranged neighbor’s Calabasas house on January 9.
