Ellen DeGeneres Creates Most Famous Selfie At Oscars

Ellen DeGeneres was busy tonight with hosting duties at the Oscars, but she still has time to take a selfie on Twitter…with many of her A-list celebrity friends.

The internet is all abuzz over the first selfie ever taken at the Academy Awards. Ellen first asked Meryl Streep to take a selfie on Twitter with her. Soon afterwards, Julia Roberts joined in. Then suddenly, star after star joined in for the Twitter selfie which included Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Jared Leto, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Lupita Nyong’o, Kevin Spacey, and Channing Tatum. More stars would join the mix but if Ellen’s plan was to break Twitter records, she probably pulled it off.

This was confirmed on The Hollywood Reporter in which Twitter experienced intermittent outages. As of now, the tweet has been retweeted over 1,000,000 times and it is still climbing.
