Robin Thicke Resumes Tour Despite Separation From Paula Patton

Robin Thicke has resumed his US tour despite his personal problems stemming from the announcement that his marriage to Paula Patton has come to an end.

But the fat lady hasn’t sung yet, and the “Blurred Lines” crooner has stated that he wants Paula back.

On Thursday, Robin Thicke returned to the stage at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia and he made it clear he’s lost without his wife and partner of 20-years.

On Monday — not surprisingly — a rep for Patton announced, in a joint statement, that the couple had decided to call it quits and were separating. This followed months of rumors about infidelity and cheating on Thicke’s part.

He was reportedly out and about hanging out with other women, while his wife was working in Vancouver, filming her latest movie.

Thursday marked the first time Robin Thicke was on stage since the announcement of his marital problems and followed the cancellation of three concerts when he returned to her side in an attempt to make her change her mind.

Reportedly, Paula told Thicke that she wanted a divorce last week, he begged her to re-think her decision, but her mind was made up. As he was starting his US tour and had to be on the road, he left and on Monday the official announcement was made.

Robin Thicke immediately flew back to Canada to be with his son Julian and once again, try to change Patton’s mind.

Thursday he was forced to finally return to the stage and dedicated his song “Lost Without You” to Patton saying:

“For y’all that don’t know me and my wife separated, but I’m trying to get my girl back. She’s a good woman”

TMZ reports he made an emotional, heartfelt rendition of the song he wrote for his wife and was still wearing his wedding band.

Entertainment Tonight reported on Thursday that to add to the couple’s rough week, their son was involved in a minor car accident, which was allegedly caused while Pattton’s mother was trying to evade paparazzi.

Even though, the public in general was not surprised by the announcement of the couple’s split, a colleague of Robin Thicke says he was completely blindsided by the announcement and the pair had appeared to be happy not long ago.

Us Weekly reported that the performance with Miley Cyrus at the MTV VMAs was the last straw for Patton and they were already on the road to separation. Reports also have suggested Patton’s appearance with Robin Thicke at the Grammy’s was only a favor after he begged her to attend with him.
