George Clooney Is More Than A Hunk, But We’re Still Obsessed With His Love Life

George Clooney wants people to know that he’s more than just a Hollywood hunk. However, that isn’t stopping the press from obsessing over his love life.

While promoting his latest cinematic endeavor The Monuments Men, Clooney had a chat with the folks at the German magazine TV Movie. During his conversation with the publication, George insists there’s more to him than just good looks.

“I’m more than just a pretty face! Just the other day I changed the fan belt on my friend’s car,” he said during the interview. Clooney added that he’s getting used to the wrinkles and said he’s extremely comfortable in his own skin.

The actor continued, “There’s nothing more embarrassing than when you pretend to be one of the young ones. However, it does make me feel very good about myself when I can beat younger guys at basketball! I’ve also learnt how to make fun of my age – even in front of loads of other people.”

George Clooney also used his chat with TV Movie to apologize for the roles currently available to German actors. Although The Monuments Men deals with Nazis, he wishes there were more positive roles for them to play.

“I am really sorry that Germans have had to play Nazis for 75 years. That must get annoying after a while. But it’s about a mission that at first seems impossible. It just sounded like a great story,” Clooney explained.

While George really wants fans to see him more than a hunk and a pretty Hollywood face, people can’t seem to stop obsessing over the guy’s love life. According to People, the filmmaker was recently spotted holding hands with Amal Alamuddin during a screening of his new film. Naturally, this means the two are getting romantic.

Of course, this isn’t the first time rumors popped up that George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are an item. Reports surfaced last year that they were developing a romantic relationship, though neither the actor nor the lawyer confirmed anything with the press. In fact, George really wishes you’d just shut up about it.

His spokesperson said:

“George wants this… crap to stop. He wants Katie to get a break, and he wants Amal to be able to prosecute cases without being hassled because she had one dinner with George and four others. I even asked George if these [reports] were true and he said he never comments on his private life, but in the interest of stopping the harassment of all three of these women, he felt he should.”
