Robin Thicke Trying To Get His ‘Girl Back,’ Dedicates Song To Paula Patton

Robin Thicke is working overtime to win back the woman he loves.

The “Blurred Lines” singer recently performed in Washington D.C., his first show since he and wife Paula Patton announced their separation. Although the folks at TMZ report that the 2 Guns star is still moving forward with the divorce, Thicke is doing whatever he can to stop that from happening.

Apparently Robin thinks the best way to get back into his wife’s good graces is through the power of song. The Daily Mail reports that Thicke decided to dedicate a song to Patton during his recent concert. Before he launched into the tune, he explained his intentions to the folks who paid good money to see him perform.

“For y’all that don’t know me and my wife separated, but I’m trying to get my girl back. She’s a good woman,” he told the crowd at the GMU Patriot Center.

According to Bustle, Robin Thicke then launched into a rendition of “Lost Without U.” The website also reports that the singer kept his wedding ring on during the entire performance. If Patton is serious about moving forward with the divorce, then Thicke isn’t quite ready to accept the fate of his relationship.

Since some folks can’t resist stepping into the limelight during troubling times, 20-year-old Lana Scolaro — who appeared in the infamous Robin Thicke “butt grab” photo — said she wouldn’t mind hitting the town with the singer at some point down the road.

“I’d love to grab a drink with him if he asked. Robin acting like that with me makes me think there were many more. It’s a shame because when you have a kid, it’s upsetting,” Scolaro said after news of the separation started making headlines.

Although it’s unclear what caused the rift between Robin Thicke and Paula Patton, an insider recently told Us Weekly that his infamous performance with Miley Cyrus at the MTV Video Music Awards definitely put their relationship in a tight spot.

“The Miley Cyrus fiasco was a big test of their relationship. He asked her to help him out as a friend and a wife, and defend him and the performance. He begged her to speak out for him and be there for him,” an anonymous source explained.

The insider added, “She agreed to be the good wife after he begged and pleaded. Then he asked her to stick with him through awards season, and she agreed. She attended the Grammys with him as a favor.”
