In January, an appeals court reinstated the highly publicized conviction of Amanda Knox for the 2007 murder of her roommate Meredith Kerchner in Italy. If she is ever extradited to Italy, Knox could face nearly 29 years behind bars. Her former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito was also convicted by the appeals court. Both of them spent four years in an Italian jail before the original conviction was overturned in 2011, and Knox returned to her home in the Seattle area.

Knox has insisted all along that she is innocent of the charges and is now unwilling to return to Italy voluntarily.

California-based Monarchy Distribution, an adult entertainment film company, has reportedly offered the woman who has been nicknamed “Foxy Knoxy,” $20,000 upfront to star in one of their productions along with a cut of the DVD and online sales.

In an email to Knox, Monarchy CEO Mike Kulich purportedly explained the deal for a film tentatively titled Amanda Knoxxx: Innocent Until Proven Filthy:

As you may have read, and were most likely well aware of, the general consensus is you are absolutely smoking hot. Since you came back into the headlines, our loyal fan base has been e-mailing us non-stop asking about you… This is a great opportunity for you to make some money to put towards finishing your education and also future legal costs to help with this unfortunate retrial.”

The email added that Knox will have final say over production terms, including what she would or wouldn’t be willing to do in front of the camera and with whom.

The Daily Beast took a dim view of the Amanda Knox porn offer: “…This is a pathetic tradition in the porn world. Never mind the vanishingly small odds of Knox taking a vanishingly small sum of money to capitalize on her much discussed sex appeal: Monarch[y] Distributions has already garnered free publicity by inserting themselves into the media frenzy over Knox’s reconviction…. And that’s the point. The Internet might sneer at Monarch[y], but all press is good press, after all… ”
