Stop the presses: Amy Winehouse is being a trainwreck!
The soulful British singer most famous for her drinking and drugging has canceled the European leg of her tour after a show in Serbia that was described as a “disaster.” Winehouse is said to have “stumbled” onto the stage after making fans wait for the performance, and was subsequently “jeered” and booed off by the audience. In the clip below, taken at the Serbian show, you can see Winehouse flubbing the words to “Black to Black” and “You Know I’m No Good” as the audience sings along far more proficiently.
Flak for Winehouse released a statement to press addressing the tour date cancellations, saying that further dates would not be prudent at the moment:
“Despite feeling sure that she wanted to fulfill these commitments, she has agreed with management that she cannot perform to the best of her ability and will return home,” a statement said. “She would like to apologize to fans expecting to see her at the shows but feels that this is the right thing to do.”
It is not known when Winehouse will perform again.
