Demi Lovato Admits That She’s Extremely Emotional, Cries ‘All The Time’

Demi Lovato is a very emotional young woman.

It doesn’t really matter if things are good or bad — if emotions are running high, then there’s a very strong possibility that Lovato is going to burst into tears. The singer told People magazine that she even gets a little misty when someone pays her a compliment.

“I’m so emotional. I cry all the time. One of my friends told me how proud she was of me and how I’ve come so far [and that’s the last time I cried],” Demi Lovato explained.

The former X Factor judge also tends to get a wicked case of the butterflies from time to time. She added, “I get really nervous and insecure when I play guitar or piano onstage. My friend said, ‘Don’t think about it too much, just play.'”

Nerves almost got the better of Lovato before the first night of her tour. The singer posted on Twitter that she was extremely anxious to take the stage, though she managed to pull everything together before the performance began.

“So nervous I literally cannot stop shaking! I’m so excited! I’m coming out so soon!” she wrote on Twitter before turning on the charm.

In addition to to working with Nick Jonas on her Neon Lights tour, Demi Lovato is also extremely busy putting together the follow-up to Demi. Although she admitted that work had begun on the new collection of tunes, Lovato stopped short of revealing when fans can expect to get their hands on the songs.

“I’ve already started recording for my new album, and I have plans to record during the tour. The sound just evolves into everything that I’ve been and everything that I want to become,” Demi recently told MTV News.

She added, “I’ve never been so sure of myself as an artist when it comes down to confidence, but not only personal things, but exactly what I want my sound to be and what I know I’m capable of and this album will give me the opportunity to show people what I can really do.”

Lovato certainly has a lot to get emotional about these days. As if the successful tour and the new record weren’t enough to get the singer all misty-eyed, she’s also in a very strong relationship with actor Wilmer Valderrama.
