Ludacris Blames Paul Walker’s Death For His Financial Woes, But Confirmed Via Twitter That He Made $12M Last Year

Ludacris may have definitely put his foot in his mouth this time. According to TMZ, the rapper-actor has taken to desperate measures in an effort to avoid staggering child support payments for his new “love child.”

On Wednesday, Feb.19, Ludacris, whose real name is Christopher Bridges, appeared in court with the mother of his child, Tamika Fuller. The publication reports that Fuller is demanding monthly child support payments in the amount of $15K to care for the rapper’s 2-month-old daughter, Cai Bella Bridges.

However, the Battle of the Sexes feels the substantial demand is far too rich for his blood since he’s suffering from financial hardships.

The Fast and the Furious actor accredited his downtrodden cash flow to the death of his co-star Paul Walker, since filming and production for Fast and Furious 7 has been set back.

The “IDGAF” rapper expressed that he was counting on the financial gain he would have acquired from the film to make the suggested child support payment amount.

Ludacris claims that he can only afford to pay $1,800.00 a month, which only equates to approximately 12% of the requested amount. The rapper also alleges that he only earned $55K last year.

However, the judge refused to approve such a meager amount, ordering Luda to pay $7K a month. The rapper’s financial documents will require further review. So, he will have to pay the ordered amount until further notice.

Although, Luda may have only earned $55K last year, there are a number of sources that prove he’s sitting on much more than that. As a matter of fact, the rapper actually supported the reports via Twitter.

According to WebProNews, a breakdown of Luda’s finances prove that he actually garnered a staggering “$12 million just in the year of 2013,” topping the Forbes list as one of the Highest Paid in Hip Hop.

He even confirmed that he’s topped the Forbes list seven years in a row! But, that’s not all. A number of media outlets even report that the “Money Maker” rapper is worth a cool $75M.

It will be quite interesting to see how the custody battle turns out. Only time will tell whether Luda’s honestly hurting for cash, or sitting on a fortune. Do you think he’s really hurting for cash?
